History

The Clear Lake keys Property Owners Association (POA) was established in March 1989 as a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation and improvement of life in the Clear Lake keys. At that time the Keys subdivision was divided into 7 units each with separate Covenants, Codes and Restrictions(CC&R’S). In the summer of 2006 separate elections were held in each unit of the subdivision to embrace a common set of CC&R’S; this was approved by a majority of property owners. This positioning is key to solutions for improving our community.

The Clear Lake Keys Property Owners Association (POA) serves the property owners of “The Keys” – a community located in the town of Clearlake Oaks, California. The Keys is a subdivision built during the 1960’s. We are unique for being located on six and one half miles of channels behind the homes. These channels provide access to Clear Lake, California’s largest natural lake.
